OMISTA is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our Team.

THE POSITION

We are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead and oversee our Commercial Banking department. This role is a key leadership position, responsible for guiding our commercial team, developing strong business relationships, and ensuring the growth and success of our commercial portfolio.

As the Commercial Manager, you will:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the Commercial Banking team, fostering a high-performance and member-focused culture. 
  • Oversee the development, growth, and management of the Credit Union’s commercial lending and deposit portfolios. 
  • Delivery of lending & deposit services to commercial, agricultural, and small business members of the Credit Union. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business members, community partners, and key stakeholders. 
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while maintaining prudent risk management practices. 
  • Have an inclusive leadership voice - Identify opportunities to shape commercial services to meet the evolving needs of our members. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategies, set targets, and achieve organizational goals. 
  • Maintain a deep understanding of local market trends, business sectors, and economic factors affecting the commercial lending environment. 
  • Represent the Credit Union at community and business events, promoting our values and presence in the market. 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • A proven track record in commercial lending, credit adjudication, and business development within the financial services industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and motivating a team.
  • Advanced understanding of financial analysis, risk management, and commercial credit practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with business members and community partners.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance growth, risk, and member service.
  • Four (4) years of post-secondary in a business program, plus a minimum of five (5) years of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

OMISTA is seeking a Commercial Account Manager to join our Team!

We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Commercial Account Manager to join our Commercial Team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of commercial, agricultural, and small business members, providing tailored financial solutions and building long-term partnerships. Your passion for business development and commitment to member success will be key to driving growth within our commercial portfolio.


KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial, agricultural, and small business accounts by understanding members’ business needs and offering customized financial solutions.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential members.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess risk and make informed recommendations on credit applications, including term loans, lines of credit, and mortgages.
  • Complete loan applications and related documentation while adhering to regulations and Credit Union procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of service to business members.
  • Monitor loan performance and conduct annual reviews to ensure continued suitability of products and risk management.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of local market trends, business sectors, and economic factors affecting the commercial lending environment.
  • Represent the Credit Union at business networking events and in the community to promote our brand and services.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Advanced understanding of credit analysis, commercial lending practices, and financial statements.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with business clients and provide value-added financial advice.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Credit Union & competitors’ products and services.

Education and Training

  • Four (4) years of post-secondary in a business program, plus a minimum of three (3) years of lending experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
