Chief Financial Officer Expand/Collapse

OMISTA is looking to hire a Chief Financial Officer!

THE POSITION 

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial aspects of our company and drive the company's financial strategy and planning. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial leadership roles, excellent analytical skills, and strong business acumen. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy and objectives in alignment with the overall business goals.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to align financial plans with operational objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and guidance to the CEO and executive team to support decision-making.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Direct treasury management activities, including cash flow management, capital allocation, and risk management.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee a comprehensive fraud prevention program, AML compliance, and privacy protection strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of OMISTA’s fraud prevention, AML compliance, and privacy protection teams, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure effective execution of responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and financial institutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of success in financial management, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence

Comprehensive Communication Strategy

We have an inclusive communication strategy to ensure that all employees feel they are involved in decisions that affect their day-to-day work.  It is important that we involve employees in order to keep them informed and engaged.   • CU Zone – a centralized information repository and bulletin board for employees of the Atlantic Credit Union system
  • Coffee Pot meetings – regular team meetings for managers share information, provide training and garner employee input
  • All Employee Breakfast meets – bi-annual meetings for all employees to gather to hear about the important company news and updates from the CEO, CFO, HR, Marketing, IT and/or Business Development
