Bringing Down Hunger...One Foot at a Time
Advance Savings, OMISTA, and PSE Credit Unions have jointly purchased a shelf over 5 years. Food DEPOT Alimentaire has 100 food storage shelves that they want to “sell” to the community. The total cost of “owning” a shelf is $12,500.00, which can be purchased outright or through a 5-year annual contribution of $2,500.00 per year.
Tim Cormier of C103 was on location at Sobeys Vaughan Harvey 50 feet in the air. Tim went up at 7am and was lowered back down to the ground 1’ at a time with every $50 in public donations.
Each Credit Union gave away prizes for a "Power Hour." Congratulations to all of our winners! There was a BBQ available from 11am to 1pm. All money raised was donated to the Food Depot Alimentaire.
