Pay Yourself First

With a PAC Plan, you automatically pay yourself first every month by investing a fixed amount of money in your chosen mutual funds. Contribute as little as $100 per month, or as much as your budget allows.

Your PAC Plan keeps you headed in the right direction thanks to dollar cost averaging. That’s a fancy name for a simple idea. It means that your fixed dollar contribution naturally buys more mutual fund units when prices are lower, and fewer fund units when prices are higher. Dollar cost averaging effectively smoothes out the highs and lows of the markets. Over time, this strategy tends to lower the average cost of your mutual fund units, so you can enjoy higher potential gains.

Imagine, no more scrambling to find enough money for your RRSP contribution in February. No more worry about market volatility. And no more RRSP stress. Maintaining your PAC Plan is far easier than saving for occasional lump sum contributions, and trying to guess the best time to buy. You can relax, and watch your savings grow, a little at a time.

For more information on how you can invest with a PAC Plan contact Ozzie MacKay CAM, Mutual Funds Investment Specialist.
